Car Park Calpe, junction: C. Castellón de la Plana / C. Alfaz del Pi, Calpe. All walks initially go to the Visitors Centre. Then there are three options: an Easy, a Moderate and a Moderately Strenuous equivalent.

Easy Walk. E/A, 6kms, 3 hours. Leaders Martin and Veronica Dunkley. We go up towards the Penon and walk as far as the start of the tunnel and then descend to the visitors centre and continue back to the seafront and take the coastal path towards Moraira before returning to Calpe.
Moderate Walk. M/C, 4kms, Scr3, 2,5 hours, depending on group. Leaders David and Theresa Brain. This walk goes about half way to the summit and view point.
Moderately Strenuous Walk. MS/C, 6kms, Scr3, 3-4 hours, depending on group. Leaders David and Theresa Brain.
The M and MS walks entail walking through a rocky, poorly lit and slippery tunnel. Of the 1,5 hours descending, 1 hour entails scrambling with a lot of exposed drops and slippery surfaces. Good boots are advised. We find it easier to not use poles as you need both hands to assist climbing and support, and also numerous ropes and chaines are provided to assist.
After the walks we plan to go for a meal in Calpe. Details will be provided nearer to date.
