AUTUMN PROGRAMME

The new walking programme for the Autumn season is now available. Download by clicking this ticker. By downloading the programme you are acknowledging that you will abide by the conventions. Please ensure that you are conversant with the Conventions before attending our walks. Always check STOP PRESS before attending a walk.

In this section you will find all you need to get you out walking with the CBMW. The latest programme, showing you where to meet, advice on what to bring with you and what to expect along the way. Walks range from easy to very strenuous so just choose the one that suits you. So come along and meet a group of friendly and enthusiastic group of mountain walkers.

In this section you are able to find out how you can get more involved with the CBMW. This ranges from how to become a leader and the help that is available through to submitting new walks into the Walks in Spain database. We are always looking for keen walkers who are also looking to help in the organisation. If you need more information please contact us.

We now have a section that can help you with information about walking, from what is happening with local paths, the hunting season and other local issues. We also try to give advice on certain equipment and the latest trends. You can also find a section on help with your GPS and most importantly medical issues associated with walking in the mountains of the Costa Blanca.

You may also wish to join our mailing list and keep up to date with the latest information and this is all explained in this section.

BETTY GODDARD RIP

SAD NEWS – BETTY GODDARD – A long time Leader during the 1990’s, died recently in England where she and her husband George have been living since about 2004. Betty was one of the first pioneers to find and establish walks in the days before the use of GPSs or any other modern day technology. Military maps were her only aid. (more…)
OPENING WALKS – 5 OCT

All walks start from Parcent Bar/Restaurant Piscina, but note the different start times in the programme. Restaurant opens at 0900hrs for coffee. The aim is for all walks to finish at about the same time so that we can all get together for a start of season informal lunch (optional). Always a good start to the season.

Meeting Point information omitted in error from the final version of the programme is as follows:-
Benidoleig, 38.791365,-0.028697. At the Benidoleig roundabout take the road between the Farmacia and the Tabacos shop signed to Centre medic/poliesportiu/Ajuntament. Continue up the hill to the school on the Left side (150m). Meet in the car park next to the school.

2016 Walk and Wine Festival

The walk and wine festival that was due to be held in November is cancelled for this year. It is hoped that we will be able to hold this event in 2017.
