SPRING/ALMOND BLOSSOM WALKING FESTIVAL 2024
The Spring/Almond Blossom Walking Festival will take place on 14th February 2024.
Details of the walks are as follows:-
Moderately Strenuous – Leader Eric Ferguson – 14.5 km, 450 metre height gain- Meet at Rastro car park in Jalon – 9.15 start.
Moderate – Leader Richard and Hazel Marsden – 9 km, 300 metre height gain – Meet at Rastro car Park, Jalon 10am start
Easy – Leader Joan and Fergus Fitzpatrick – 8 km, 200 metre height gain – Meet at La Solana Restaurant, Alcalali 10.00 start.
It will not be necessary to book in for the walks.
Lunch will be held afterwards in Restaurante La Solana, Alcalali at 1.30 p.m. Cost will be €23 including tip.
Please note that the lunch will be limited to 70 places.
Menu:
- Assortment of meats and cheese, and a salad with mimosa eggs and crisps.
- Sprout salad with goat’s cheese, dried fruit and cranberries..
- Main course to choose from:-
Baked Loin of Pork in mushroom sauce
Shoulder of lamb
Fillet of salmon
Sea Bream. - Dessert,:- Pineapple with strawberry ice-cream. Half bottle of wine or beer included.
