OPEN FORUM MEETING
You will recall that at our Open Forum meeting in January suggestions were made to research new
systems of communication in emergency circumstances, i.e. Sarloc and Alertcops.
Following research by (Jo, Ralph and Katy Phipps) neither system appears to be useful to walkers in the Costa Blanca at the moment. We therefore feel unable to recommend these as a safety system.
As emphasised by Dr Marina the main method of calling for assistance is to DIAL 112
The suggestions put forward made us look at the way emergency services are developing but as yet we can see no reason to change the universal advice of calling the national number112.
