It is with great sadness that we report the death of one of our current and stalwart leaders.
Adrian passed away on 3rd February 2021 in Aberdeen Royal Infirmary after an exceptionally long illness which he managed remarkably well, he was always very stoical and cheerful.
Adrian and his wife Tricia joined the Costa Blanca Mountain Walkers in 2002 whilst their house was being built in Lliber, they moved in shortly afterwards.
After a career as a pilot in the air force Adrian became a helicopter pilot for Bristows, flying personnel out to the oil rigs in the North Sea. After retirement he moved to Spain spending around six months a year here and then four months in the summer sailing his beloved yacht Ptarmigan around the Greek islands. Their home in UK is near Aberdeen.
Adrian’s funeral will be held at 2.30pm on Friday 19th February (UK time) and it will be covered by a live feed. If anybody, who knew Adrian, would like to observe the funeral, please email Martin Dunkley firstname.lastname@example.org with your email address and he will advise Tricia and send the link.
